VIDEO: Greensleeves, part 3
Seven Different Ways to Play Greensleeves on the Piano, Part Three
Susan demonstrates how to create Arrangements 6 and 7 of Greensleeves, appropriate for intermediate to late intermediate to advanced (jazz) level players. Please scroll down for more tips, links, and to download the music.
Interesting points regarding these arrangements:
- In Arrangement 6, you can vary the rhythm to accommodate the placement of the added 2's.
- In Arrangement 7, notice that some notes are changed, to reflect the changed chord of the jazz reharmonization. For instance, in measure two, the C would be sharped (unless you'd like to hear the C natural as a sharp 9).
- Let your ear be your guide!
