Seven Different Ways to Play Greensleeves on the Piano, Part Three

Susan demonstrates how to create Arrangements 6 and 7 of Greensleeves, appropriate for intermediate to late intermediate to advanced (jazz) level players. Please scroll down for more tips, links, and to download the music.

Interesting points regarding these arrangements:
  • In Arrangement 6, you can vary the rhythm to accommodate the placement of the added 2's.
  • In Arrangement 7, notice that some notes are changed, to reflect the changed chord of the jazz reharmonization. For instance, in measure two, the C would be sharped (unless you'd like to hear the C natural as a sharp 9).
  • Let your ear be your guide!
