This is the second of two videos where we understand Beethoven's music from the inside out, using one of his famous keyboard pieces as a point of departure for composition and improvisation.

Jazzin' Giovanni's left hand part is typical of walking bass patterns played by jazz pianists. It's fun to read and play pieces already composed and fully notated on the grand staff in this style. However, to truly acquire this skill, you must learn to construct bass lines yourself.
